Meet Melanie. Melanie is an Associate attorney with the firm of De Leon, Humphrey and practices in the city of Whatchamacallit, in the state of Nirvana. Melanie is also a voracious user of Social Media. She has accounts with Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Tumblr, VK, Vine, Meetup, Tagged, Reddit, and Swarm. Oh my!|
Melanie thinks that social media has ushered in the new era of legal practice. Who needs an office when you have a laptop or smartphone or tablet and an internet connection? And what better way to reach a larger client base than the universal reach that social media provides? It’s a no-brainer, right? Well, maybe not.
