In this course we expand upon the ever-changing definition of cybersecurity and the causes of data breaches. In addition, the speaker discusses a lawyer's ethical obligations, the biggest challenges, the best practices to prevent data breaches, and the applicable rules and regulations.

Salar Atrizadeh, Esq. is the principal and founder of the Law Offices of Salar Atrizadeh. He is licensed to practice law in the State of California, District of Columbia, and the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts. He has an extensive background in technology and holds a bachelor's of science degree in computer information systems with a minor in database management systems.

Mr. Atrizadeh has conducted seminars, and handled cases in state and federal courts, regarding online privacy, cloud computing, cybersecurity, crowdfunding, cyber piracy, digital currencies, e-commerce transactions, electronic discovery, internet sales tax laws, and online banking fraud before legal and non-legal organizations, including, but not limited to, the State Bar of California, State Bar of New Mexico, American Law Institute, University of Tulsa-Oklahoma, Thomson Reuters/Rutter Group, NextSpace, Institute of Internal Auditors, IEEE, Rotary International, and various chambers of commerce. The goal of these seminars was to educate the public on the applicable state, federal, and international laws, guidelines, and protocols. In addition, he has conducted presentations before educational institutions on the topics of cyberharassment, cyberstalking and cyberbullying.

Mr. Atrizadeh is on the advisory board of the Information Systems Security Association in Los Angeles, California. He is active on California State Bar's Cyberspace Law Committee and a member of the Internet Society. He is also an expert faculty member of Advantage Continuing Education Seminars, where he teaches on topics related to internet, cyberspace, and technology.
